The studio, by the numbers

What's on the mat
Brooklyn Yoga Project describes itself as "not just another yoga studio" — "an intimate, boutique-style space offering heated, low-heat and unheated vinyasa flow, yin, Iyengar-inspired and restorative yoga classes." In the studio's words, "Our highly experienced instructors not only teach this practice, they live it, breathe it and embody what yoga is — union, enlightenment and tranquility." Alongside the asana practice, BYP runs workshops, teacher trainings and community gatherings "where the eight limbs of yoga are studied, shared and celebrated." The studio is at 185 Sackett Street, between Henry and Hicks, and books through Mindbody (site ID 196899).
All Levels Flow — HEATED
Vinyasa flow in a heated room. The studio's policies page states heated classes run "around 98 degrees and humid"; the humidity "allows for comfortable breathing and keeps the room from feeling too dry," with a built-in fan and windows for ventilation. 60 minutes on the current schedule.
All Levels Flow — UNHEATED
The same all-levels vinyasa flow at room temperature. BYP runs heated and unheated versions of nearly every slot, morning and evening, seven days a week. 60 minutes on the current schedule.
Intermediate/Advanced Flow — UNHEATED
A longer, more advanced unheated flow. Currently scheduled Sunday afternoons, 75 minutes.
Pilates Plus
In the studio's own words: "In this 45 minute class, you will be guided through a traditional Pilates mat series. The focus will be on building core strength, lengthening the body, and finding stability through movements that connect you to the breath while grounding you into your body."
Community Class — Donation Based
A donation-based community class, currently on the schedule Sunday afternoons.
Yin, Iyengar-Inspired + Restorative
The studio describes its offering as "heated, low-heat and unheated vinyasa flow, yin, Iyengar-inspired and restorative yoga classes." Yin currently appears as workshops and in the online audio library rather than as a weekly slot.
Workshops + Teacher Trainings
BYP states it offers "workshops, teacher trainings and community gatherings where the eight limbs of yoga are studied, shared and celebrated." One workshop is currently open for enrolment: YIN with Be Leigh, Saturday 26 September 2026.
Retreats
Led by studio teachers — currently a week-long Isla Mujeres retreat with Ossi and Dennis, 28 February – 5 March 2027.
